Camoflaging is one way to do it. Owls' feathers blend in to resemble tree coverings and some butterflies' wing seal to mimic dead foliage. Squid even have special skin cells that change pigment at the slightest detection of danger, concealing themselves from nearby predators. Animals find places to tuck away special objects as well: food, spare keys, drugs, cluttered cabinets. Sometimes when required, they even stow away secrets.
